Dr. Kelly K. Thomas DDS

Dr. Kelly Thomas was named Best Cosmetic Dentist in KC in 2020 and 2021, one of the Top Dentists in KC in 2022 and 2023, and one of the Top 40 Dentists in the Nation under 40.

She is a graduate of UMKC Dental School. Practicing since 2004, Dr. Thomas also studied extensively at Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies expanding her fields of expertise into cosmetics and neuromuscular dentistry.

Her approach to your treatment starts with patiently listening to you; then, after a complete and thorough examination, she reviews and discusses the diagnosis and treatment options with you. Providing a caring environment is important to her. Her favorite thing in dentistry is to transform a smile with bonding or veneers.

Dr Thomas lives in south Overland Park with her husband Paul. She has 3 children of her own and a step-son. Greyson, Kyler and Beckett are awesome big brothers to their little sister Charlotte. When she isn’t at the office, you can find her on a bleacher or sideline cheering on her little athletes or playing co-ed softball or golf.

Dr. Ryan Brittingham

I’m thrilled to join the team at Leawood Cosmetic and Family Dentistry! With over 25 years in family dentistry, I’ve dedicated my career to delivering comprehensive care with a personal touch.

In recent years, I’ve focused on advanced training in cosmetic and implant dentistry, including full -mouth rehabilitation and complex surgical procedures.

My passion is helping people—restoring health, confidence, and comfort through dentistry performed at the highest level.

Originally from Hutchinson, I now live in Lawrence with my wife Kelie and our three kids. We love travel, family time, and staying active in our church and community. I can’t wait to meet you and be part of your dental health journey!

Dr. Nicholas Smith

Dr. Smith is excited to join the team! Origina ly from Topeka, he went on to graduate from UMKC SOD.

He has always strived to provide the highest level of care by using advanced technology and proven techniques. His focus is restorative dentistry, and his favorite part of the profession is seeing the happiness patients gain from their new smiles.

Dr. Smith’s approach to patient care begins with listening. He believes every patient deserves to be heard and that creating a comfortable environment is essential to delivering exceptional care.

Outside of dentistry, he enjoys spending time with friends, family, staying active on the golf course, and planning his upcoming wedding in May 2026 with his fiancé. He looks forward to building lasting relationships with patients and helping them achieve their best dental health.

Maureen

OFFICE MANAGER
Maureen joined the office three years ago as the insurance coordinator, then transitioned to our business manager. With a long history of retail and dental management, it’s a perfect fit. She’s your go-to for any questions regarding insurance, claims and billing. Maureen, her husband Ron and their 4-legged kids moved back to the Midwest 10 years ago to be closer to her family in Iowa. Maureen has a passion for animals and volunteers in rescue. You’ll find her pups Finn and Papi always by her side at home.

PATIENT CARE COORDINATOR
Danyelle works in our front office. She has been working in the dental field for the last four years. She loves helping patients and getting to know them. When she’s not at work, she is busy caring for her daughter and son.

FRONT OFFICE
You will be greeted by Madison’s smiling face when you walk through the door. She has a long history in the veterinary field and has made the recent change to dentistry. She is eager to meet and assist each patient. On the weekends, she likes to spend time with her family and spoil her dog and cat.

DENTAL ASSISTANT
You will meet Ashley in the back when you receive restorative work. She has been Dr. Thomas’s right hand for almost 15 years now! She enjoys her job and loves meeting and getting to know her patients. When she’s not at work, she is trying to keep up with her very active family. She has been married to her high school sweetheart for 16 years and they have three children (13, 10, and 6). She loves the sun and hot weather and enjoys being outside. On the weekends, you will find her cheering on her kids in their sports and during the summer, they are on the lake as often as possible. Ashley looks forward to serving you during your visit.
Tamatha

DENTAL ASSISTANT
Tamatha has been an assistant for a long time, but she has been at our office for 5 years. She and her husband, David, have three grown children ranging from 21 to 26, the youngest is the last to finish up college next spring. When she isn’t at the office she enjoys traveling to visit her kids, gardening, bird watching and trying out new restaurants in the city with her husband. She adds a lot of personality to our office and we are thankful for her happy, bubbly outlook on life!
